An important late Regency glass Chandelier, by John Blades,

of cascade and waterfall design, surmounted by a gilt metal coronet hung with two tiers of faceted double sided drops, eight arms, glass nozzles and pans dressed with rule drops and four graduated rows of rule drops below, terminating in a glass faceted finial; with original drawings by John Blades, 5 Ludgate Hill, London, 1828.  

Provenance:  Made by John Blades for Viscount Weir, Mount Greenau, Irvine, Ayrshire; private collection' Hotspur Ltd., (Works of Art), London.
