A Guangxu period, Canton export ware low Table, the rectangular top above a stepped frieze, convex moulding & conforming support over shaped square legs on foliate clasp feet united by shaped rails, the whole with black lacquer scenes depicting children playing in a fenced courtyard garden within a diaper border with foliate reserves, key-pattern, scrolls, churning sea & symbols in circular form Signed top right – Chinese calligraphy characterizing subject, maker and the Guangxu period mark.
