A huge near pair of late 17th Century Japanese Octagonal Arita Blue and White Vases
A huge near pair of late 17th Century Japanese Octagonal Arita Blue and White Vases. The vases octagonal form with phoenixes and large blossoming foliage around the body within stylised and patterened borders. Good dark blue colours, excellent loose decoration stylistically typical of this period; lacking lids and one with two firing cracks secured stapled repairs.
